Eagles put Baskett on the block

The Eagles want to sign quarterback Jeff Garcia, but before they can add him to the active roster they need to shrink the complement of players by one.

So they can cut someone, put someone in injured reserve, or trade someone.

They’ll initially try to make a deal, according to Sal Paolantonio of ESPN (via Sheil Kapadia of philly.com).

And the candidate to be traded is receiver Hank Baskett.

Baskett was an undrafted free agent in 2006. He signed with the Vikings, who then traded him to Philly for receiver Billy McMullen.
