Bills cornerback Drayton Florence, who is among the inactive players for Monday night’s game against the Patriots, either doesn’t know about the league’s ban on in-game tweeting.
Or he doesn’t care.
Or maybe he thinks it doesn’t apply to guy’s who aren’t dressed out, and who possibly didn’t even make the trip to the site of the game. (Actually, he’s possibly right.)
Regardless, Florence is tweeting up a blue streak, Jack.
Our pal Brad Gagnon of TheScore.com pointed out Florence’s tweeting to us. And Brad made the mistake of pointing it out to Florence.
Drayton’s response? “HATERS add fuel here is another one.”
So if/when the powers-that-be take some of Florence’s money for blatantly violating a clear prohibition on in-game tweeting, we suppose they’ll be adding fuel, too.
UPDATE: There’s a chance Florence won’t be penalized for in-game tweeting. He has posted that he’s not with the team in New England, and the Bills have confirmed that. Said NFL spokesman Greg Aiello by e-mail: “I’ll look into it tomorrow but our focus is on those involved in the game. No tweeting for them.”
Damn Florio you must have been the kid on the play ground that everyone wanted to beat the shit out of.
I guess he got a little paranoid…
“This person has protected their tweets.
You need to send a request before you can start following this person.”
