Nicks has ligament sprain

We previously posted a blurb on what the injury suffered Sunday by Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks isn’t.

Here’s what it is.

Per a league source, Nicks suffered a short flexor ligament sprain, in the ligament that runs to his big toe.

He is expected to miss 2-3 weeks as it heals.

Glad we’re getting absolute up to the minute updates on a rookie who was buried on the depth chart. I’ll click refresh in 2 minutes to get the latest.

That is a bad thing to hurt, it could take 6 months to feel confident in his breaks again. I say he wont be effective this year, even if he returns.
