Despite a report that Donovan McNabb will miss Sunday’s game with a fractured rib, Eagles coach Andy Reid is not closing the door on the possibility.
Speaking at his Monday press conference, Reid said that McNabb is “going battle through [his injury] this week and we’ll see how it goes.”
Reid doesn’t expect McNabb to practice, and Kevin Kolb will take snaps with the first team offense. But Reid says McNabb could play without taking any snaps in practice.
“We’ve seen him do that before and play a pretty good game,” Reid said.
Meanwhile, Reid says he has not made a decision whether to activate Michael Vick this week from his roster exemption so that Vick could practice with the team.
Even if Vick can practice, he’s not eligible to play until Week Three. Reid said the team hasn’t decided what they will do regarding the backup quarterback position.
He also wouldnt rule out Golden Corral for dinner tonight.
Can hardly wait for Week 3 and the return of Michael
Only way he doesn’t play is if they feel he’s risking further injury. Otherwise it’s a flak jacket and painkillers.
He lies.

-I laughed out loud on a conference call at this!
Better call Matt Nagy.
As an Eagles fan, I say we trade for Jake Delhomme. He was nearly perfect in hitting guys wearing green yesterday.
That hit McNabb took in the end zone was a cheap shot, I hope the league fines the prick who did it. This injury basically flushes DeSean Jackson’s fantasy value down the toilet, and it breaks my heart…
Come on. It’s just a ploy to throw off Sean payton. It ain’t workin.
“They call me, Mr. Glass.”
Seriously though – as an eagles fan – that hit was not a cheap shot. He was committed to the hit at that point, he could have adjusted low or high and broke his damn neck or blew out his knee. It was clean.
as a 49ers fan, i was never happier to see that rerun get hurt.
