Romo has an ankle injury

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo played well on Sunday after undergoing an offseason T.O.-ectomy.

But that voodoo doll that Yoko purchased might finally be kicking in.

Per the Dallas Morning News, Romo injured an ankle in the third quarter of Sunday's win over the Buccaneers.  He missed no plays because of it.

His post-game press availability was delayed while the ankle was being examined, and more tests were planned for Monday.

Stay tuned.

Lucky for him it wasn't his pinky again, or else he might have to go on IR. Most likely, he hurt himself while playing "Grab you ankles" with Whitten.

Awww, last year it was Tony Womo's Bwoken widdle pinkie Winki not its his hurt Wankle. Poor Womo. Looking for a reason for the Giants loss already?

  7. danielcp0303 says: September 14, 2009 1:22 PM

It won't be a problem. He finished the game with it, it's just sore. Nothing to see here.

Of course if this had been a report about Favre, the word injured would have been in quotes then something about polio or whatever. It does not matter that Favre is 1000 time tougher than Romo (meaning 1.5 trillion toughter than Florio) when Florio hates him.

Of course about 25% of the most popular part of the PFT menu is Favre retlated stories. Who will be your whipping boy/guy you constantly write about when Favre is gone Florio? You really should send 10% of your "well earned" NBC check to Favre for giving you a topic to hammer.

Oh please. What he has can't even be described as an 'injury' since he missed no time in the game and won't miss any time in the week or the Giants game.

    Search for something else.

Hey Mike how's that 'Redskins going to the Superbowl' prediction looking for you?

  10. Levito says: September 14, 2009 1:30 PM

will that be the excuse if romo gets trampled by the giants defensive line next week?

  11. Abe Froeman says: September 14, 2009 1:31 PM

I heard it could be season ended.

so what you're saying is there is nothing wrong with romo.
Find me a player on any team who played yest that doesnt have something balky today.

  14. danlinker says: September 14, 2009 1:53 PM

Zombie, you are so right about florio's favre hating. I have stopped commenting on any article he writes about favre. Any favre fan should do the same. Lower florio's hits on it.

So he outplayed 24 other QB's on Sunday while playing with an injury. He needs to play hurt more often.

  16. VoxVeritas says: September 14, 2009 2:00 PM

haha, agirl fans have no room to talk with that porcelain doll they have at QB that has played only one 16 game season out of the last 5. And Giants fans could use a big cup of STFU too since Romo has pretty much pwned the Giants like 5-2 as a starter with or without Tiki, Burress, Strahan, Toomer, etc.

  17. FloriosHairHat says: September 14, 2009 2:04 PM

    Vox is an idiot.
There, got that out of the way...

  18. pubicreign says: September 14, 2009 2:13 PM

Vox, porcelain doll? Homo cannot even hold #5's Jock when it come to playing injuired...Even Jerry knows that...considering he questioned your teams manhood last year..broken pinkies, collapsing in showers...you dont hear that $hit outa phillys locker room.

  19. glenneats says: September 14, 2009 2:13 PM

Vox is a moron, please vox give me an email or even better a phone number so i can call you after the game and simply ruin you and everything you believe in. you h 0 m 0

  20. CowboysFan#1 says: September 14, 2009 2:21 PM

Romo will be fine....Cowboys will defeat Giants next week!

  21. footballrulz says: September 14, 2009 2:38 PM

    @ ZombieRevolution

Favre gone? U gotta be kidding. He's like a bad penny--just keeps turning up, over & over & over.......

  22. EskinSux says: September 14, 2009 3:13 PM

Hell, I'm all for bashing the Cowgirls, and Romo's choking ability, seriously I'm all for it..And I await it to happen again......But if I hear one more freakin story about Jessica's voodoo doll I'm gonna puke. Can't believe I'm doing this, but i read somewhere today he had like 4 passes of 40 yards or more...Shouldn't that be more relavent than some Goddamn voodoo doll? More than likely alot of players are nursing some injury today, some more serious than others, it's the first week of game action....I hate Dallas with a passion, but I'm not going to stay tuned to some voodoo doll bullshit, when more than likely he is in the training room with ice on his ankle.....Damn, it's football......

  23. NFLJunkie says: September 14, 2009 3:13 PM

    Welcome to yesterday Florio.

  24. jkorn1818 says: September 14, 2009 3:15 PM

vox 5-2, but one of the losses came when it actually counted, the playoffs.
A big cup of STFU? what are you kidding?
do you use that in chatrooms on AOL too?

    omg lmao

    brb

  25. JimmySmith says: September 14, 2009 3:29 PM

Romo can play with a bad ankle, a bruised vigina would likely keep him out 4 to 6 weeks.

Lets see this team actually win a game after Thanksgiving and I might start to pay attention.

  26. Ocelot138 says: September 14, 2009 3:29 PM

    Tony who?

  27. JDinFL says: September 14, 2009 4:16 PM

Listening to Cowboy fans talk about how good their team is, is like listening to an senile old man talk jibberish.... It's sad, sometimes funny, and I always think "Thank GOD that's not me!"

  28. Bob Nelson says: September 14, 2009 4:38 PM

This the same wuss that would't even play with an injured pinky?

Orton played with a fractured index finger on his throwing hand and Favre has played half a season with a fractured thumb on his throwing hand.

Makes you wonder if he ever withstood a spanking as a kid.

    Cry Tony Cry
