Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson, who recently claimed that he’s still the best running back in the league, might have a lot of catching up to do.
Already 125 yards behind Adrian Peterson, L.T. might find himself in a much deeper hole if he misses one or more games with a high ankle sprain suffered on Monday night against the Raiders.
He has missed practice both Wednesday and Thursday due to the injury. On Friday, the Chargers will apply a label regarding his anticipated availability for Sunday. (We’re guessing that he’ll be questionable, and that whether he plays will be a game-time decision.)
Center Nick Hardwick also has missed both days of practice with an ankle injury from Monday night, along with guard Louis Vasquez (knee), defensive end Travis Johnson (groin), and linebacker Antwan Applewhite (hamstring).
Appearing on the Thursday’s injury report was punter Mike Scifres, who has a groin injury and who participated in practice on a limited basis. He was not listed on Wednesday’s report.
The good news is that left tackle Marcus McNeill, who missed practice Wednesday with a hand injury, fully participated in practice on Thursday. Also, defensive tackle Jamal Williiams (arm) practiced on a limited basis after missing practice on Wednesday.
If you saw the tape of the way his ankle bent he is lucky its not worse.

On the bright side, LT missed the practices in the classiest way possible, he exudes class, he has more class than anyone else. No one can play with his level of class. No one can practice with his level of class. No one can miss practice with his level of class……Just ask him….. LT is becoming the NFL’s version of Glass Joe from Tyson’s Punchout….

All those players got injured and the Raiders still couldn’t capitalize. Only scored 13 points untill it was 4th and 15 with like 5 mins left. I dont see why everyone is buzzing about the raiders. Their passing game is atrocious, Chargers played worse on offense then my skins and they were still winning in the 4th. I wish the skins played in the West.
