Four years, $27 million for McGee

The contract signed by Bills cornerback Terrence McGee reportedly is worth $27 million over four years, according to Allen Wilson of the Buffalo News.

Based on the $3 million that McGee was already due to earn in 2009, he’s under contract for $30 million over five years.

There’s no information currently available regarding the amount of guaranteed money.  Since McGee’s agent presumably leaked the numbers to the Buffalo News and since the leak didn’t include the guaranteed money, other agents likely will presume that the guaranteed money must not be all that great.

All the guy does is cover the other team’s best receiver every week and do a damn good job. Great signing…the young corners on this roster can learn from one of the true professionals for years to come.

Why would other agents presume the guaranteed money isn’t all that great when other agents will be able to see the actual numbers?
