Chiefs will get to prepare for four quarterbacks next week

FOX’s Jay Glazer reports that Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb wants to play next week against the Chiefs, only two weeks after suffering what turns out to be a serious rib injury.

Per Glazer, the tenth rib was fully displaced.  The concern is that numbing the area on game day could result in McNabb suffered a punctured lung without realizing it.  (Apparently, the shortness of breath would have prompted him to think it was merely another bout of nausea.)

The team would prefer to give McNabb next week off, since the entire team has Week Four off.  In our view, however, McNabb knows that he needs to keep one of the other quarterbacks from establishing a foothold while Donovan’s rib heals.

Also, Glazer reports that Mike Vick will not start next week, but Vick will play in the Wildcat attack.

So, basically, the Kansas City Chiefs will have to prepare for as many as four quarterbacks next weekend — McNabb, Vick, Kevin Kolb, and Jeff Garcia.

i love it when the media tries to create news. as if mcnabb is worried kolb will overtake him as the starter.
i understand that you are an insecure man, but no need to apply that principle to all people. mcnabb knows he has nothing to worry about. he probably wants to play because he’s a football player and that’s his job.

That would only be two QB’s. Neither of the real QB’s have a K anywhere in their names.
