Favre, Adrian don't connect early

In the wake of the Vikings’ Week One win over the Browns, many a commentator said that quarterback Brett Favre’s job description now consists of handing the ball off to tailback Adrian Peterson.

If so, Favre might want to spend some extra time working on it.

A promising opening drive against the Lions was disrupted when Favre tried to cram the ball into the stomach of Peterson on a stretch play, and the ball came out.

The Lions recovered and they are driving.

As we’ve said many times, this could be a great chance for the Lions to break their 18-game losing streak.  They played the Vikings close on two occasions last year, when Detroit lost every game of the year.

Ahh too bad the Vikings won and Favre looked pretty decent overall. Dang, you will have to wait to post that Favre sucks and ruins team chemistry for another week or so.

STOP HATIN’ FLORIO! Vikes still won the game… moving on. Any other player in the league has a fumbled exchange and you wouldn’t have said a thing.
