Hasselbeck out of hospital, flying home with team

The early signs following Matt Hasselbeck’s rib injury are relatively encouraging.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Seattle’s quarterback is out of a San Francisco area hospital.  Testing indicated that he suffered no internal damage to his kidneys, liver, or lungs.  Hasselbeck suffered no internal bleeding.  That’s the good news.

Frankly, it’s too early to draw many conclusions for Hasselbeck’s rib injury.  He is expected to undergo more testing Sunday after traveling home with the team Sunday night.

Hasselbeck was coming off a highly promising preseason and Week One, when he seemed to put the injury questions about his back to rest.

Now he’s got another problem to deal with.

Nice, Bears could use a break from real football for a week.

when is seattle gonna finally draft QB and stop using a receiver like seneca wallace, Seattle needs to get Daunte Culpepper to run things on the west coast and get Dennis Dixon to be his backup and groomed ot be a future starter, Dixon is a future mcnabb and will fit in nicely back on the west coast

Daunte Culpepper? Dennis Dixon? C’mon weezy! The Seahawks have to draft a QB in the first round next year for their future starter. Hasselbeck is too fragile at this point and his protector Walter Jones is near the end of the line as well. They have two first rounders (…….just like the Niners) and they can solve their problem then.
