Just a few hours ago, Florio told you the Redskins were bracing to lose stalwart guard Randy Thomas for the season.
Their fears have been realized, according to the Washington Post. Thomas is expected to miss the 2009 season with a torn triceps, although the team won’t confirm the injury until a Monday MRI.
This is the second time Thomas has torn his triceps in three seasons. The 33-year-old is emblematic of a talented Washington line that is long in the tooth and vulnerable to injuries.
Their depth is questionable; center/guard Will Montgomery filled in for Thomas Sunday.
“Randy’s one of the best guards in the National Football League,” teammate Derrick Dockery said. “It’s
gonna be a real challenge, but we have to find somebody to do it.”
Why does it take responses an hour to go live on the site?
that needs to be changed, how are we supposed to have heated debates if every response is delayed by a couple of hours??

because this is how its always been. Keeps the trolls away, instead of constant bickering between people you post something about the story that other people will eventually read. This isnt a football forum.
Once again, the snyder administration has shown it’s key weakness. They continually sign the marquee free agents, go after the hot names, and fail to do the one thing they really need to do. Build a bigtime offensive line. They love Jay Cutler, Mark Sanchez, Albert Haynesworth, and ignore the weak, slow, old offensive linemen they got. They sign undrafted free agents, pay deangelo hall a zilllion dollars, and refuse to draft their obvious biggest need……………
signed
George Allen
that george allen is a genius…….wonder why nobody else has anything to say……….
What I really wanna know is why the redskins didn’t blitz brady more in that 52-7 blowout…..Jets did and look what happened………………
Two words: Injury Prone
Without doing any research, I believe Randy Thomas has been put on IR…EVERY SEASON…since joining the Redskins in 2003 (except maybe his first year).
Torn Triceps, twice. Broken leg once. Issues with his neck once. That’s four…and I think there’s been at least one more.
Dear God,
Please let Vinny Cerrato hit a gigantic lottery win and retire to a private paradise where he lives out his days in health and happiness.
Or bring in the Mack truck.
