At a time when Steelers tailback Willie Parker is catching a lot of criticism for a subpar performance during the regular-season opener, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Parker injured his hamstring during pregame warmups, and that he was operating at only 85 percent against the Titans.
So, um, why did he still get the start?
Seriously, wouldn’t it have made more sense to use a healthy Rashard Mendenhall or Mewelde Moore?
Parker supposedly is healthy today. We’ll see if that will prompt him to run hard between the tackles.
If he doesn’t, we wonder what other body part will turn out to have been injured during pregame warmups gaainst the Bears.
Was it on the injury report last week?
Was Parker on the Steeler’s injury report last week ?
OK, what about all last year. Ecept maybe one or 2 games
how the hell do you measure if somebody’s playing at “85 percent” ?
bring in redman and sit parker, hey why not?
I heard Willie is going to beat up what is left of you after Crowder is done for writing this story.
Excuses, excuses.
The Steeler running game looked awful again today…
