Willie Parker had a strained hamstring in Week One, supposedly

At a time when Steelers tailback Willie Parker is catching a lot of criticism for a subpar performance during the regular-season opener, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Parker injured his hamstring during pregame warmups, and that he was operating at only 85 percent against the Titans.

So, um, why did he still get the start?

Seriously, wouldn’t it have made more sense to use a healthy Rashard Mendenhall or Mewelde Moore?

Parker supposedly is healthy today.  We’ll see if that will prompt him to run hard between the tackles.

If he doesn’t, we wonder what other body part will turn out to have been injured during pregame warmups gaainst the Bears.
