Cowboys-Giants one-liners

The Giants may have found a couple solutions for their supposed no-Plaxico Burress problem in their 33-31 victory over the Cowboys.

The G-Men also seem to have a knack for making big plays in crucial situations.
Giants QB Eli Manning’s second-quarter touchdown Sunday night was the 100th of his career.
The Giants have scored defensive touchdowns in back-to-back games.
The quadriceps strain suffered by Cowboys RB Marion Barber Sunday night is not believed to be serious.
The new Cowboys’ Stadium played host to the NFL’s highest-rated prime time game since Broncos-Dolphins in December of 2008 1998.
Cowboys coach Wade Phillips is considering changing his plan to use Orlando Scandrick and Mike Jenkins as co-starters at right cornerback.
QB Tony Romo admitted in his post-game press conference Sunday that he “really cost” the Cowboys the game.

Maybe Tony was distracted by the cage dancers.

Thats great Tony. Recognizing your problems is the first step to fixing them. I just hope your career lasts long enough to accomplish this.

Maybe Tony was distracted by how overrated ESPN makes him out to be.

@dietrich43 – I couldn’t believe the cage dancers. Not that it’s in any way implausible, considering who and what went into the creation of this new monolith, but I was still surprised.
Though I’m a (long-suffering) Cowboys fan and have been slamming them (mostly Romo and the coaching) elsewhere on these boards, I want to take a sec to praise the Giants.
There’s no doubt that the Cowboys kept the Giants in the game when it could easily have gone into blowout territory early on. But the Giants did what every winning team does: play clean, don’t make mistakes, don’t turn the ball over, and take advantage of the opportunities given to you.
I was really impressed with how calm, strong, and consistent the Giants were, and they only seemed to improve in all respects as the game went on. They seemed their sharpest and best when the pressure was really on, and the big plays seemed almost effortless with their discipline on display. Great job, guys, and you really convinced me of your worth as a playoff contender, even in week 2.

Hope you are happy Jerry. Last night was a huge success. Lots of exposure nationally, President Bush, John Madden and even Lebron James to name a few were all there to see the wonder that is your legacy.
The biggest stadium in all the world and an attendance record as well. Complete with dancers and all. What a specctacle.
Now that all the hoopla is over, can we get back to why you “should” have purchased the Dallas Cowboys to begin with.
Address why our ‘Boys can’t seem to win consistently. Why they seem ill prepared to play. Start by taking a look at Wade Phillips, Jason Garrett and Tony Romo. You’re a business man.
    Make some business decisions.
    …just a thought.
(Note that no where do I mention that we should get rid of Jerry Jones. Come on, he’ll own this club until the day he dies only to pass it along to Stephen.)

    Very funny.
Lost the final close out game at Texas stadium. That game was hyped as well.
Then the lose the first game in the new digs.
I wonder if anybody knows if there is any other team whose has that stat as well?

@redsquare–nice to see a “sane” person make a post. Hidden behind the internet some people are turned into idiots of behemouth proportions.
That post was the sign of a true football fan. You sir, are a true gentleman & a real fan of the game..
