The NFL reinstated former Jaguars wide receiver Reggie Williams Monday from a two-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
The question, now, is the one posed in the headline of this post. (No sense repeating it.)
My guess is that Williams will have trouble finding gainful employment. Williams isn't even the best available former Jaguar first-round receiver coming off suspension; that would be Matt Jones.
Jones hasn't found a gig, and neither have other veteran wideouts with more career production and less baggage than Williams.
Williams was known as an excellent blocking wide receiver, but he didn't top 630 yards in a season despite starting 53 games in five years.
Does any team care that Reggie Williams was reinstated?

Nope...
Matt Jones was never suspended...
It may sound crazy but the Giants could use a big tall end zone target.
McDonald's is hiring but he has to beat out Charles Rogers and Pacman Jones for the job
I agree that unless the G-Men start utilizing Ramses Barden, they need a taller receiver for red zone purposes. Just not any of the former Jag wideouts. Smith and Manningham looked great last night, and they haven't even had a chance to get Hakeem Nicks on the field yet.
Eli did lobby for Braylon Edwards during the offseason, but that didn't pan out. I think the Giants receivers will pan out well.
The big mistake the Giants made was in not going after Tony Gonzalez or Kellen Winslow. Especially Gonzalez, who would've fit right into the NYC scene. It's not that Kevin Boss is overrated or anything. With him, the ceiling is pretty low. Eli really could've used a safety outlet to compensate for Plaxico's absence.
No. Ninety-five percent of NFL fans couldn't pick him out of a lineup. Most probably think he used to play basketball for Georgetown.
Eagles are hiring bad people, he should check with them.
shut the hell up calir.
pitbull: Jones was suspended the final three games of last season.
Who?
