A trip is really the same as holding. It was just a freak accident that tuck got hurt on it. If tuck had gotten up and didn’t get hurt, then not one person would’ve said anything about flozell tripping. It’s tripping people, you guys are acting like flozell committed the worst crime imaginable. Suspend him? For tripping? Get a grip.

well,they want to tell you that they had a wonderful evening.
by the way,putting someone on the bench because of a dirty play is just not right.i truely believe that you are above taking delight in that scenario.

It’s really not a dirty play. Not much different from holding. The guy beat you, you hold him. The guy beat you, you trip him. It was a fluke that he got hurt on the play.

I agree with Zaggs regarding the time out the Giants were forced to take in the final two minutes of the first half. The Cowboys had just completed a long pass down the middle of the field that was nullified by the tripping penalty on Flozell Adams. The penalty stopped the game clock. Had Adams not tripped Justin Tuck, there would not have been an injury on the field. Although the penalty was called on the Cowboys, the Giants received the stiffer punishment. They lost a player and a time out.
I’m neither a Giants or a Cowboys fan, but this rule needs to be reevaluated.

Its unfortunate that the play resulted in an injury that allowed the Cowboys to run in Flo Holds and Trips Adams (man has made a career of it and does not mind one bit) direction for the rest of the night. But cosmically bad karma resulted in a Tony to Witten shoe interception for Kenny Phillips on the drive.

It’s a lot easier to do when the refs don’t call holding or tripping, even though that’s the ONLY two ways he shuts ANYONE down. Refs did their best to give Dallas the game, but with the 30th ranked defense, the Boys just couldn’t stop the NY passing attack – which, according to you and dozens of other “experts”, NY didn’t have without Plax. So, seeing how awful NY’s passing game is, what does it say about the Dallas secondary that they got shredded for over 300 yds passing? And what does it say that Dallas D line, who according to you has the best players – Ware and Ratliff, couldn’t get a single sack? 1996, Vox. 1996.

The league needs to revisit the injury time out rule in the last 2 minutes. The Giants should not have been made to take a timeout because Adams is too fat and slow and purposefully tried to injure Tuck. Dallas should have been made to take the timeout.

Flozell should have been called at least twice for tripping in that game (in addition to his other fouls). Let’s be honest, he’s a classless, dirty, over-rated POS…which means he fits right in with Dallas.

Flozell has no class, kinda like the rest of the Cowboys. He should be fined and be forced to miss at least as many snaps as Tuck missed/will miss.
Something tells me that’ll be Tuck’s motivation and he’s gonna torch Flozell next time.
