First off, the Jets blew their collective load in the second game of the season. They will only be a shadow of themselves for the rest of the season. On November 22nd, they will be the ones to be "embarrassed".
What many of you Patriots haters fail to realize is the simple fact that this is a team that had to rebuild in the off season. There are many new players at key positions and they have not yet jelled as a cohesive unit on either side of the ball.
Don't expect it to take long for that to happen though. I expect within the next couple/few weeks everything will be as it should in the great Patriots nation. I have faith in the system that is here and all you haters will be hating even more.
This TEAM (not an assembly of players with other agendas) will be such for years to come. When someone leaves for other areas there is another to take the place. And for those haters out there, how many of your teams players have jumped ship, taking less money to be here? Yeah, they know where the real football is at and where those with the winning attitude are at (not just on the field either, so don't shoot back with the "well were have they been in the past few years?" crap because there is a hell of a lot more to being a professional in the NFL than just bringing it on game day).
Keep hating haters, live like you just won the Superbowl Jets fans, because when this season is over, this past weekend is as close as you are going to get to being there.
Haters to submit crap in 3-2-1......

I see there are some class fans on this site after reading the some of the comments.
And yes, we do have the best defense in the NFL. I know, it's week 2. But our D has held the Texans in Houston, 12-4 record at home the past two seasons and third ranked offense in the NFL last year, as well as the Patriots at the Meadowlands, 8 straight victories and the 5th ranked overall offense of last year (without Brady) to 9 points collectively.
The only touchdown the New York Jets have yet to give up was on an interception, and subsequent fumble, that was returned for a touchdown.
All this without our best pass rusher last year, Calvin Pace (80 tackles, 7 sacks and 5 FF in '08). I can't wait to see what he can bring to the table after serving his four game suspension.

The prob. w/this is not every team has the players to do it, if they did every team would do it every wk to every team they play, dumbass!!!

can we stop with the damn Cheatriots and Bellicheat crap? what are we, 6? i'm a jets fan and hate it. and if brady and belichick want to walk off the field without congratulating the winners, fine by me, let them look like sore losers.
i have an idea, pro football talk... let's talk about pro football, not some off-field bullshit. i personally don't care if my coach is obese, or if he breaks some stupid rules to get a slight advantage, or has a son who's a drug addict, or if my quarterback kills puppies or kittens or humans or whatever. can we not just talk about the damn game for once?

Cheatriots - no better than a third-place finish in the division. (Prediction that I made EARLY in the past offseason.)

Congratulations to the Jets and their fans. They played a good game. This is only week #2 and it is a long season before proclaiming any team a Champion. Most Jets fans know that September and October have been good to their teams before but it matters what happens in November and December, as they experienced first hand last season.

Hats off to the Jets. Their D is for real and they played a great game. No Welker really hurt, not to mention no running game. Time to activate law firm and give him a shot. Also time to cut Galloway and give someone else a shot. He is washed up. Looking forward to round two. It should be a good one.

This may have been the best game of the day, even with the low score. NYG-Dal was good, but this one was pretty sweet to see ole Rexy put it to the Pats. You gotta hand it to them, they did exactly what you have to do to beat Brady...apply non-stop pressure and have solid secondary play. Brady is notorious for throwing balls he shouldn't to avoid a sack, and it was proven in this game. Of course, we never talk about that because he does so many good things to outweigh his hail mary tendencies.
Great game. I am happy for Buddy Ryan 2.0.
