Seahawks-49ers one-liners

The Seahawks put eight defenders in the box, but still couldn’t stop the run in their 23-10 loss to the 49ers.

Injuries to DT Brandon Mebane and LB Lofa Tatupu contributed mightily to the Seahawks defense’s inability to stop 49ers RB Frank Gore.

QB Seneca Wallace threw a touchdown pass on his first play in relief of Matt Hasselbeck, but he and the Seahawks offense struggled to move the ball for the rest of the game.

Seahawks DE Lawrence Jackson had two sacks and has provided a consistent pass rushing presence through the first two games.

Seahawks RB Justin Forsett had six catches for 57 yards and added 35 yards on the ground.

49ers RB Frank Gore joined Barry Sanders as the only two players with two touchdown runs of 75-plus yards in one game.

The 49ers offensive line responded well to criticisms levied by coach Mike Singletary following the first game of the season.

49ers LB Patrick Willis expressed concern for Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck while pointing out that he was injured on a legal hit.

Cam Inman of the Contra Costa Times writes that WR Michael Crabtree is missing the start of something special with the 49ers.

49ers CB Shawntae Specer foiled a pair of passes intended for WR T.J. Houshmanzadeh, including a third-down fade route in the end zone.

All that running by Frank Gore aint gonna happen Vs. the Vikings on Sunday. Shaun Hill (LMAO) will be forced to beat the Vikings. It should still be a good game though because the Vikings defensive backfield is their achilies heel. Ill see any 9ers fans brave enough to make the trip to the Metrodome this sunday at the dome. SKOL.
