wilson, didn’t after the woman sent him running from his own house, get his priorities in order, james harrison, by all accounts has. therein lies the real difference. though i guess that does not matter to a carnival barker like florio.

But all of these off the wall opinionated reaches are just stupid. #1, you get a longer leash as a better player just as you get a longer leash if you are a better employee at a company. #2, Jeff Reed is in no danger of losing his job during this season. He has pretty much made every clutch kick he has tried since joining the Steelers. The guy he replaced in 02 was Todd Peterson who was just awful. It’s a big time stretch to even consider that Reed would just implode and reach the Peterson level. He made 2 bad kicks in less than ideal conditions. I hope that smart football people know how to sift through your awful hypotheticals.

Reed hasn’t performed well, but the Steelers, if they’re truly the elite team they’re supposed to be, shouldn’t be in these situations week in and week out.
Just like T.O. being more the canary in the coal mine than the actual root problem in his recent teams, Reed is just helping to expose the deeper issues in this team.
As for Harrison–dirty on and off the field. Strong, athletic, and fairly despicable. That they’re enabling and covering for him helps explain why they also considered Vick–morality takes second place to the desperate hunt for any edge in today’s NFL.
The Steelers are suddenly in a dead heat with the Eagles for the ugliest team in the league. It’s too bad.

But prior to the game they were going to steamroll the cards remember? I notice no florio articles saying how well the cards did, and that makes it even sweeter. Must have really frosted him yesterday.
