As expected the Washington Redskins have placed guard Randy Thomas on injured reserve, ending his 2009 season after only two games.
Thomas suffered a torn triceps during Sunday’s win over the Rams.
To fill his roster spot, the Redskins have elevated running back Anthony Alridge from the Texans practice squad.
Alridge was acquired via waivers in February 2009, after he was cut by the Broncos. He signed with the Texans’ practice squad after being cut by the Redskins prior to the season.
And, yes, we finally made it through one of these things without making some sort of smartass observation.
