Haha. That’s true. I went to the Packers game this past Sunday and I saw people wearing Favre jerseys with Favre and the #4 crossed out. I also saw with “Drama Queen” on the back as well as “Traitor” with a upside down 4. It was quite amusing.

Maybe if the media stayed away from Favre like the plague, you all wouldn’t get so wound up about what he does or says. He doesn’t hunt the journalists down. The media hunts him down.
I think he has a right to defend himself. Everyone blamed him for lying about his injuries and being selfish in playing through them at the cost of his teams. That’s all comical when the teams knew exactly what they were dealing with. You can’t blame Favre if those teams didn’t bench him.

Too many Monday Morning GM’s and coaches with negative opinion on Farve primarily because of his past on again off again retirement issues. No question the guy is not what he was but he is still better than 50% of the QB’s in the league and is better than what the Vikings had on their roster before he arrived. That is the bottom line. Grin and bear it as he will be gone soon enough. I doubt he will play as long as George Blanda.

Here is the way I see it……
Favre did the retire/unretire dance most of the offseason and that pissed a bunch of ppl off (including myself).
Now he is back playing, everyone is taking every utterance from his mouth and treating it like gospel! I can’t figure out why. Players talk every single day, yet not a one gets this kind of ridicule.
Being a die hard Viking fan, I’ll admit it makes me throw up in my mouth a lil seeing him in purple, BUT, he is better than any QB the Vikings had previous, he has done EVERYTHING he has been asked to do, and at the moment, the Vikes are 2-0.
Are y’all bytchin jus cause you can? Cause you wish he played for your team? Cause y’all expected him to fail and he has done anything but that? Is that the only way you can make yourselves feel better?

Ya, like the 50 or so that showed up in Green Bay just before Favre was about to be traded to the Jets, some assclown (likely Fan of four) decided to hold a protest. A bunch of publicity and when the time came, only 50 people showed up. It was so lame that the 50 people probably hid from the public for the next year.

Favre’s “… endless quest to explain away …” – EXCUSE ME? Florio, you’re an idiot. Favre has not had an endless quest to explain away anything. If the media asks him a question, he answers it. He isn’t calling press conferences himself to explain this away. And last year, when the Jets were fading, he never said a damn word. Nor did he say anything immediately after the season. The news came out much later.
So stop the Favre hate. Just tell the truth. Some media dupe – like you, maybe – asked him a question, and he gave them an answer. If he hadn’t answered, you’d be vilifying him for not answering. Gimme a break.
And by the way: An injury, documented by medical tests such as MRIs, is not an “excuse.” It’s a “reason.” Maybe Colin Cowherd can explain this to you.

“and meant nothing by it.”
You should correct that and take better note of his sincerity. I know you lifted this from the Star Tribune where the quote is incorrectly posted. You should listen to the actual press conference, if you plan to report these things as fact.
Have a little journalistic integrity and get the information first hand.
