No blackout for the Bucs

Despite a couple of mediocre (to put it kindly) early-season performances, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have sold all non-premium seats for both of their 2009 regular-season home games.

Of course, it helps when the opponents are the Cowboys and the Giants.

According to our friends at Pewter Report, Sunday's visit from the first-place team in the NFC East has been sold out, and it will be televised locally.

The Bucs have sold out every game at Raymond James Stadium, which opened in 1998.  This year, however, the team has been concerned about the possibility that the streak will end.

Tampa Bay will host only seven regular-season games this year; one of the Bucs' home games (against the Patriots) will be played in London.

i dont care who plays ,as long as you get cris collinsworth of my tv. he is boring, obnoxious, and just not worthy of my cable bill. his voice is grating and drone like and is irritating even from in the next room. can i turn off the sound and get play by play from another source?his mediocre accomplishments previously in the nfl do not qualify for ruining my evenings to the point i am ready to let my wife watch 'murder she wrote" re runs instead! hey thats a thought! Al, hes bringing you down! cut the line! save yourself!

Thank us Giants fans for showing up, Bucs fans. We bailed you out. Now it's time to take over your house because you're too spineless to show up for your 0-2 team.

The Bucs will sell out all season, when it starts looking too bad they'll put in the rookie & fans will want to see him play for the last few games which will save them from any blackouts this season.

Because it's not like the greater Tampa area has an abundance of displaced New Yorkers or anything, right?

Hell, Seinfeld even devoted a whole running sub-story line to it, didn't they?

First you typed: "the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have sold all non-premium seats for both of their 2009 regular-season home games."

Then you typed: "Tampa Bay will host only seven regular-season games this year; one of the Bucs' home games (against the Patriots) will be played in London."

    Both means 7?

I mean really, are you all so lacking in brains that you can't figure out that he's talking about both homes games that needed to be sold out to this point?
The others can still sellout in the future but the cutoff past for those 2.

Some real smart uns in round here.

Can't take a little joke, TBTrojan...and who's really lacking in brains as you state 'homes games' and 'past' - the correct context and spelling is 'passed'. No go back to your trailer and make your momma her mac & cheese with hot dogs.
