We told you about a civil suit filed this week alleging that the security team at the Tom Brady-Giselle Bundchen nuptials went a little Barney Fife in trying to get a pair of photographers away from the scene down in Costa Rica.
Regardless of whether the security at the wedding did fire weapons -- and Costa Rican police investigated the claim but did not press charges -- NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told FOXSports.com's Alex Marvez that Brady won't face any disciplinary action from the league.
"The personal conduct policy is aimed at the personal criminal conduct of NFL personnel, not civil matters involving the conduct of someone's security people," Aiello told Marvez in an email.
Brady's only public comment on the incident came in the May issue of Sports Illustrated when he described the allegations as "absolute total b.s." He added that "We found two guys on our property and told them to get out. Our security guys didn't even have guns. There were no shots fired."
So there you go. Going forward, it seems a valuable lesson learned about the dangers of dealing with paparazzi when getting married at a remote Costa Rican location.

Florio, you are the only one who cares about this story - there has been no allegation that Brady fired any shots, if that happened, or that he was any more involved in the situation other than it being his wedding. Why would he suffer any punishment over this? When you get on these crusades to make issues out of clear non-stories, it severely detracts from all the other good work that is done on this web site covering football.
I'd say Shady Brady should joing Plax in jail, but he sucks anyway - he's not very good without illicitly taped walk-thrus and defensive signals.

Can you imagine the type of publicity a stunt like this would receive if it happened to Vince Young or Donovan McNabb. Sorry folks, but there's definitely a double standard. Although Pacman Jones is a scumbag, a similar situation happened when one of his goons plugged a bouncer at a Vegas strip club. How would this have panned out if a member of Brady's hired muscle would have hit a photographer?

So, if I own property in Costa Rica and my security guards shoot at an intruder while I'm getting married, should I be punished by the NFL too? If this was Peyton Manning defending his home from an intruder, people would be calling him a hero. If this was LT trying to get a moment's peace on his own private island, people would be pointing fingers at the paparazzi and calling them nasty names.
