Percy Harvin is sick, again

Vikings receiver Percy Harvin was a surprise no-show for practice again today.

He was sick, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

If it were the first time Harvin was sick, it would be no big deal. But it’s now the third time since Harvin joined the team that he has been ill.

The first came not long after he was drafted. On his way to Minnesota for a rookie minicamp, Harvin was hospitalized in Atlanta due to dehydration and a virus. He also was sent home from the Rookie Symposium due to an illness.

This time around, the specific illness isn’t known. Asked if Harvin has the H1N1 virus, also known as “swine flu,” coach Brad Childress said, “I’m not an epidemiologist.”

So maybe, just maybe, our tongue-in-cheek prediction of Brett Favre being listed on the injury report as having swine flu will come to fruition.

Man, we hope he doesn’t also come down with polio.
