Campbell ready to start for Redskins

Not that there was a lot of doubt, but Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell will be ready to start against the Lions this week.

“It’s a whole lot better,” Campbell told the Washington Post. “I rested it a little and it got better during the week. It’s good.”

Clinton Portis is listed as questionable on the injury report with his ankle injury, but coach Jim Zorn fully expects him to start.

The Redskins should be plenty fired up after hearing a lot of people predicting all week that the Lions will finally win a game this week.

If Washington was susceptible to overlooking Detroit, they shouldn’t be now.

Nice call on picking the Redskins and the Lions…Just like the bookies with their lead pipe locks; half the suckers get one team, and the other half gets the other. Next week split the winners from the week before, and you’ve got suckers all season long…

Detroit? Please there’s no chance the Lions beat the Redskins. Zippy!

Wait Campbell was hurt? Huh? Is he making Brett Favre style excuses now?
Lions win, 21-9, Calvin Johnson goes off

Please, edit this post and refer to what is getting better. This is terrible.

So, is there a specific body part to which Campbell is referring? If not, the fact that he will be ready to go after resting “it” sounds kinda dirty. heh heh heh…

Detroit just needs to get 21+ points and they get a W.
Redskins couldn’t score 21 points on a college team.

“He gets the ball over to their third read than most quarterback can.”

Somebody says stuff like this every year.
You do realize, of course, that the worst NFL team would destroy the best college team.
    Right?

I don’t think Jason Campbell has ever been ready to start for the deadskins.
    GO DALLAS COWBOYS!!

The Lions proved they can score, the Deadskins are clueless, Detroit gets its first W since 07.

Matthew Stafford gets sacked all day long.
    Skins 17 Lions 6

    Stafford goes 20-30 for 200 2TD 1INT
    Campbell goes 19-27 for 180 1TD 1INT
Smith rushes 18 times for 95 yards 0TD
Portis rushes 20 times for 110 yards 1TD
Detroit comes out big, with Washington bringing the game close late. If it gets close, Hanson kicks a field goal to win it.
PS: I also expect Calvin Johnson to dominate DeAngelo Hall all day long, and Cooley to dominate the Lions on 3rd down passing plays.
