Cadillac Williams has run with wild abandon during the first two games of the season, but it has come with a price.
Williams has been experiencing soreness in his knees this week, and will come off the bench behind Derrick Ward this week against the Giants if he plays at all. Cadillac is listed as questionable, although the Bucs sound hopeful that he will be able to play. Earnest Graham is also questionable for the Bucs.
Ward’s first start in Tampa will come against his former team, who he has been playfully jabbing throughout the week over the phone. Ward told Justin Tuck that he was going to run all over the Giants.
Tampa’s running game has been one of their bright spots early this season. The team is averaging 4.6 yards per carry as a team.
Ward is likely to carry a heavier workload than usual, but Bucs coach Raheem Morris isn’t ditching the committee approach.
“We’re going to start Derrick. He’ll get the first crack at his old
boys,” said Morris. “I don’t even know that we have a starter around
here. We have a three-headed monster.”
Tampa Bay, you got a weight on your shoulders
That’s breaking your back.
Your Cadillac has got a wheel in the ditch
And a wheel on the track
Oh Tampa Bay
One thing missing for Derrick its called the Giants O line
And he has never had to run againest the Giants D
Hell I could get a 100 yards running behind that line
this is where derrick ward takes off1! the bucs didnt pay him that much to be backup to cadillac williams!

agree with #1
but #2? dallas ripped the giants apart on the ground last sunday.
and this is sheridan’s defense NOT spagnuolos
Hey “bigbluefan”….did u watch that cowboys vs. Giants game. The cowboys run game gave the giants D-line hell….the giants run defense looked horrible..so before you start praising the giants d line watch the film and wait till the giants run d proves they are good..,I hope ward does run all over the giants
With all the injuries on NY’s D, Ward might very well have a huge game. What looked like an easy win two weeks ago, has become a competitive match. Second game in a row that all the weight will be on Eli’s shoulders. Looks like he will need another 300 plus yard game to compensate for the fact that NY’s defense will be limping onto the field.
Raheem Morris is bringing up bad memories of Mike Tice’s Randy Ratio. Not only does he broadcast his 2-2-1 strategy, but he starts the guy coming off 2 career threatening knee surgeries against the teams first stringers, instead of the guy who lead the league with a 5.6 YPC, and fresh off a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract. If anyone should be the ’1′ in the 2-2-1, it was Caddy. Raheem Morris is a genius!
“Hell I could get a 100 yards running behind that line”
Brandon Jacobs is averaging 52 yards a game behind that line.
“Brandon Jacobs is averaging 52 yards a game behind that line.”
At 3.3 yards per attempt, by the way. The Giants are only averaging 100 rushing yards per game as a team.

you mean this giants rush D that is ranked #27 and giving up 168yds per game? i live in the south and it’s still pretty muggy down here, have fun in that tampa sun
I wouldn’t call seven carries for nine yards “running with wild abandon.” His seven “receptions” for 56 yards (8 yards a catch, big deal) are a different issue.
“And he has never had to run againest the Giants D”
They’re giving up 186 rushing yards per game on average. Same as the Bucs, as a matter of fact. If you thought that the Cowboys run D was porous… 186 yards per game is over 30 yards per game more than the Cowboys are giving up. The Giants have also given up 4 rushing TDs. The only team that has give up more are the Browns with 5. The Giants also have scored no rushing TDs and are 0 TDs of any kind for 8 red zone possessions.
Basically the Giants are living in a house of cards and it’s only a matter of time before a sight breeze brings it crashing down.
Hell then I guess Bigbluefan is a better running back then Brandon Jacobs considering Jacobs is averaging 52 ypg so far. Lmao

Still won’t make the Cowboys any better or wash away the stain of opening night.
Bob S. says: “and this is sheridan’s defense NOT spagnuolos”
No. It’s most of the defense out due to injuries. Hard to play effective run D when your secondary has to play way off the line because your starters are missing or hurt. End result is what counts and that was as much as anyone could ask for under the circumstances. It’s also tough for any D to excel when the refs are so clearly in the tank for the home team. Jerry got humiliated when he closed out the old stadium and the NFL did all they could to make sure it didn’t happen again. Thankfully, instant reply overruled some of the more grotesque non-calls. Remember the INT that should have been a TD that was ruled an incomplete pass? Two refs were standing right there waving their arms for an incomplete pass the moment they saw NY had a clear path to the endzone.

Depends how you look at it. Once the Giants get their act together they could be unstoppable.
To all you doubters
Most of you Cowpuke fans
Giants 2-0 Everyone else in the NFC east 1-1
Cowpukes suck as they open the new home of the we can not win in the playoffs team
Redfaced wow they beat up the Rams way to go
As for the O line so they did not help the run for two weeks they got a passing game that was outstanding
Both the Cowpuke and the redheads decided to focus on the run good call on there part.
Except they forgot we have Easy E and the no
Ward will find out why he was so good in NY and why he will be eating dirt in TB
Focus on the run Easy E will pin your ears back with his arm focus on the pass and Brandon will run over you its called a complete team.
And the Giants D hell we have guys sitting on the bench that most teams would have starting
No worries
“Easy E” haha you chose to name him after a drug addict that died of AIDS?
“With all the injuries on NY’s D, Ward might very well have a huge game.”
That’s called a “pre-excuse”.
“What looked like an easy win two weeks ago, has become a competitive match.”
Only because two weeks ago you thought the Giants had a good defense and a potent offense. But they really don’t. 4 turnovers plus every lucky bounce, and they were still incredibly lucky to beat the Cowboys, who were having a very, very uncharacteristic bad game on both sides of the ball.
Here’s where you whine about the refs, puss.
“Hell then I guess Bigbluefan is a better running back then Brandon Jacobs considering Jacobs is averaging 52 ypg so far.”
They’re Giants fans. You can’t expect them to know too much about football.
VoxVeritas says: “That does not change the fact that the 2009 Giants run D is horrible”
And so is Dallas’. The difference is that NY can actually play pass defense, Dallas can’t.
“you’re saying that the run D is sucking because you’ve got DBs that are hurt, you’re ignoring the fact that a top front 7 unit should stop RBs from getting to the DBs in the first place.”
The front seven is hurt, too. It’s called the injury report. Take time off from your dungeons and dragons game and read it. It’s enlightening.
“That’s called a “pre-excuse”.”
Nope, it’s stating a fact. An excuse is whining for an entire week that the “bounces” didn’t go your way.
“Here’s where you whine about the refs, puss.”
Wow, an whiney asshole who cries on his myspace page that he’s “lonely” is calling anyone a wuss? Talk about a lack of self awareness! My nine year old could kick your ass. Go draw some more cartoons and ask if anyone wants to play online games. You’re the saddest sack of s**t on the internet!
