Falcons-Pats one-liners

Give the game ball of New England’s 26-10 victory over Atlanta to the entire offensive line, who dominated the line of scrimmage with 445 yards of offense while they held the ball for nearly 40 minutes of the game.

The game’s defining play was Bill Belichick’s decision to go for a fourth and one in a one-score game from its own 24-yard line. “That means we’re taking over the game,” said Patriots guard Logan Mankins.

Fred Taylor took charge of the Patriots backfield committee with 105 hard-charging yards and a score on 21 carries.

Defensive tackle Vince Wilfork left the game early with an injury.

Tom Brady misfired on many throws again, and Joey Galloway made a few key mistakes, but Randy Moss carried the passing game with ten catches for 116 yards, before hobbling out of the locker room.

Tight end Tony Gonzalez was stymied by a defensive back heavy Patriots defense built to stop him.

Atlanta’s secondary was licking their wounds, knowing they could have given up many more points if not for their red zone defense.

Falcons G.M. Thomas Dimitroff on his return to Foxborough: “We said this would be a benchmark for our organization. And the reality is that we still have a lot of work to do. And
I knew — I knew — that [the Patriots get] agitated when it’s
suggested they’re losing something. I knew they would play physically
and come out with all guns blazing.”

Running back Michael Turner had just 55 yards on 15 carries, and lost a key fumble.

The Falcons were humbled in a game marred by key penalties.

Looks like the offense is about half way back.
Good test against the Ravens next week.

That is what happens when the Falcons play a real team not the NFC South or West

    Bigbluefan:
You mean kind of like when they played the winners of the AFC East (you know, the one the Patriots are in) the first game of the season, and manhandled them?

Where are all the hating little bitches who said last week the Patriots were done?
As usual, they’re all quiet when the Patriots bitchslap a team. And yes, it was a bitchslapping…that game was a couple of drops away from being 42-10.

THE SKY IS FALLING! THE SKY IS FALLING! THE FALCONS D-LINE THE LAST TWO GAMES HAVE GIVEN NO PRESSURE TO THE OPPOSING QB. TOM BRADY HAD ALL DAY TO THROW, THEIR TIME OF POSSESSION WAS HUGE. BRADY WAS OFF AT TIMES, OTHER TIMES HIS RECEIVERS DROPPED BALLS, DIDN’T MAKE A DIFFERENCE! OUR D CAN’T BE ON THE FIELD FOR SO LONG, OFFENSE NEEDS TO DO THE ZHIT & SCORE POINTS. IF WE CAN’T HANDLE THE 49ERS AFTER THE BYE & THEN DA BEARS & BOYS WE NEEDTA SHAKE THINGS UP. GET THE VET JOHN HENDERSON, NO MORE PERIA JERRY THIS SEASON & THOMAS JOHNSON STRUGGLED SUNDAY WITH EVERYONE ELSE. LIGHT THE FIRE, FAN THE FLAMES……………………….. CONFLAGRATION!

Once Brady gets his feel back, the Pats will be a tough to team to beat.
The DBs have done a great job this year so far as they’ve only given up two passing TD’s.
Still some work is needed on the front 7 to get more pass rush, but it will come.
McGowan was the only one other than Banta-Cain to get Ryan on the ground.
Galloway needs to get his head in the game, enough is enough.
Otherwise a game worth sitting in the rain for. Good win, now it’s time to get ready for a tough one against the Ravens…

How soon before Galloway is deactivated or dropped. Nunn was very impressive in pre-season and although he’s not going to stretch the field as Galloway was supposed to, he couldn’t be worse that what seen from Joey thus far. Am I wrong to give up on this guy?
