ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that the NFL may be doing something that we’ve been urging the NFL to do for nearly a month.
The NFL may be questioning Deion Sanders, whose comments on NFL Network from September 4 spurred the 49ers to file tampering allegations against the Jets.
Sanders said that two teams are willing to pay Crabtree twice what the 49ers have offered, and that Crabtree knows it.
Sanders, as we’ve pointed out, is a league employee. And so the NFL has the right to tell Deion that, if he doesn’t answer questions, then Deion won’t be working for the NFL.
As we’ve previously said, it all comes down to whether the league has the will to push Deion to sing.
Or, as the case may be, rap. After all, it must be the money.
