Backup QB Kyle Boller directed the Rams' offense to touchdown drives of 78 and 84 yards after replacing Marc Bulger (shoulder) in Sunday's 36-17 loss to Green Bay.
Rams 2008 No. 2 overall pick Chris Long still isn't starting; James Hall got the nod over him again in Sunday's loss.
According to Jeff Gordon of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Rams WR Laurent Robinson has an MCL injury that could be serious.
Packers QB Aaron Rodgers explained that he took frequent shots down the field Sunday because the Rams were playing press coverage.
The single teams helped WR Greg Jennings generate 103 receiving yards, despite only catching two passes.
Packers OLB Aaron Kampman made the hit that knocked Bulger out of the game and forced a fumble, which DE Johnny Jolly recovered.
After Sunday's 26-carry and 99-yard effort, Ryan Grant is averaging just 3.68 yards per carry through three games.
1: I thought Boller looked good.
2: Rodgers threw deep down the field, because that's what the Packers do nowadays. They abandon the run and throw deep. It would probably work awesome if they could protect the QB. We got alot of talent at WR.
3: That wasn't a fumble that Jolly recovered. They should go back to the tape and officially rule it an interception. My man's going to the Pro Bowl as a DB this year! 2 INTs in THREE games!
4: The reason Grant's average per carry is low is due to the "smaller quicker" lineman of the zBS "Zone Blocking Scheme" so loved by coach McCarthy. This is how Grant always looks, except usually he will get one or two long runs thrown in there. He just hasn't been getting those long runs lately.
Glad we got a decisive victory on the road but man do we still need work. Our run stopping ability is nonexistent, our running game sucks and our offensive line is still having problems. Plus, WTF is with all these drops? Rodgers puts the ball in the receivers hands and they drop the friggin thing. That has got to stop.
Hopefully we can make some adjustments so we can beat Minny this week. It would be an awesome feeling to go into the bye week with a big win like that.
@Sparta--total agreement--Line backers are non existent, no outside containmnet, Rodgers is getting killed, I just can't see GB beating Minny--Minny does need to shore up their offensive line or BF won't make 15 games, He;s still gotta laser though
At least the coaches finally let Bishop play a little bit at LB. Aside from Kampman, he's the best hope the Packers have to put some big hits on Peterson next Monday. If I were Capers I'd tell Bishop "That is your guy. Go where he goes, and hit him hard every time he has the ball." And if I were Thompson, I'd give Charles Woodson a nice big bonus ten minutes ago. Hard to believe a lot of people thought he was finished as a CB years ago when the Packers signed him. And scary to think where they'd be without him right now.
