Report: Gore expected to miss "at least" two weeks

NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports that Frank Gore suffered a high ankle sprain during Sunday’s loss, and should miss “at least” two weeks.

The 49ers have thus far simply said that Gore has a routine ankle sprain, but La Canfora isn’t the only saying Gore looks likely to miss some game time.

The 49ers face the Rams and Falcons before a Week Six bye.  If Gore has a multiple week injury, it seems likely that he won’t return until the team faces the Texans on October 25.

thats unfortunate. The original injury against the seagulls was fluky. The niners should be fine next week without him against the lambs. The Flawks im worried about.

Sad, but not unexpected. This is why I drafted Coffee in the late rounds of both my fantasy leagues.

Rosenthal, it is now being reported as not a high ankle sprain and just a strain to the ankle. Just retweaked the same injury from last week. Here’s the report… Gore does not have a high ankle sprain, as was feared. Rather, he has what the team is calling a “strain.” Still, he’ll head into Week 4 as iffy
