I hate the Steelers. Pure and simple. You want to make it out to be more than that, then fine.

The “Squealers” (as I like to call them) aren’t “perfect” and it’s high time you homers got it through your thick skulls. The fact the team has the mascot “Steely McBeam” is proof positive of this. Mike is either a 150 lb twerp who spends most if not al of his day behind a keyboard TYPING about active people or if he is one of the few high paid bloggers in the world he is a 400 lb gorilla who spends most if not all of his day TYPING, how would you possibly know how fake a wrestling injury is? I don’t know why journalists think it’s cool to bad mouth wrestling though they will not hesitate to drop references to frilly shows like Desperate Houswives or . As for Ben hosting RAW I’ve only seen the Steelers gameplan horribly not seen him play bad so what exactly do you people expect him to do stay indoors until his line gives him some protection or his coach stops asking him to throw 60 times a game or Willie Parker to show up? And you guys haven’t done much complaining about his overall foolishness until A. They were losing and B. he was featured on something you find beneath you the rape allegation was apparently on his way to anyone with half a brain that saw his party pictures from his first SuperBowl win but you guys didn’t complain then so please shut it down now too.

First of all, Ben is doing this to promote his charity, a fact lost here. I kind of expected fans of “real sports” and the the self righteous sports media to look down their noses at pro wrestling. Like the poster Bren said, if these prima donna “real athletes” worked the schedule that WWE wrestlers do, (or anyone for that matter) they would come down with real injuries. Is wrestling scripted? Yes. However, the injuries that these men and women who do it are very real. If you named me a WWE Superstar/Diva that is on the roster, I could probably rattle off the injuries they got. Example: Triple H tore both quads. Randy Orton had several shoulder surgeries, broken foot, and broken collarbone. Edge is currently rehabbing a torn Achilles, and has had neck surgery and tore the left and right pec. People who call wrestling “fake” are very ill informed. It is a show, but there is alot of risk involved. WWE Superstars do NOT have an off season like the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL players (who make way more than these wrestlers, even the top ones) have to heal either.

Ladies…..relax already. The Steelers gave that game away to the Bungles. That was the Bungles Super bowl. They’ll fold like the cheap tents that they are as the season progresses. The Steelers will be fine. Ben is an elite QB (two SB rings beeyotches!!), and tomlin will whip em in shape. Expect the Steelers to go on a season-long romp and into the playoffs with a full head of steam. Oh yeah…that Polamalu guy will be back in two weeks.
Methinks many of the posters know full well that the Black & Gold will rule supreme when all is said and done….they just won’t admit it.
BTW, Ben, nice job with the charity on Monday night. Good luck with that and making it happen with your charity.

Missy, of course the charity part was left out…….just like the parts about Randy Moss playing with a back injury and getting a game ball for his efforts was left out of THAT story.
If these things aren’t left out…it doesn’t incite all the “haters” to come out and bad mouth the Steelers and the Patriots. It’s not like they need any encouragement to begin with.

Although I don’t like to defend trash such as Vox, I do believe the knee injury/ pec implants remark was referring to a wrestler, and not your over rated QB. And while it’s nice that he’s pimping his charity, that stuff should be done in the off season, especially when your team is 1-2, you have thrown more INT’s than TD’s, and you are smack in the middle of a civil suit. But then again, common sense has never been Ben’s strong suit.

Give the guy a break. His play is not responsible for the early mistep. Two winning TD passes dropped or the Steelers would be 3-0. And the INT last week was b/c Santonio didn’t “Dare to be great” on that play.
If you’ve ever watched WWE Raw than you would know that memorizing the lines would take as much time as Romo fumbling a snap in the playoffs. But judging from some of the language and grammar posted some of you all would never be able to memorize the lines.
And Florio we all know that the Steelers are your team and that is the reason you unneccesarily bash a franchise and a QB that are on top of the NFL. Faking his injuries? Seriously!!!! He actually just admits he has them which is a no-no in the NFL.
By no means is this team finished – take care of your business at home – sweep Cleveland and the Ravens again (OK maybe split with the Ravens – I’m not an idiot) and revenge on the Bengals and they’re defending the title again…. last time I checked it’s how you finish. @ pat ayling As a football fan, I’d rather see my team’s players guest hosting Raw – entertaining millions while promoting a charity (which is why he’s doing it in he first place)- than going out to nightclubs and being involved in shootings/DUIs/whatever else.
