Saints-Bills one-liners

The Saints won ugly in Buffalo, 27-7, perhaps the clearest sign yet that this could be Sean Payton's best team in New Orleans.

Drew Brees was held under 200 yards for the first time in 23 games, and didn't throw a touchdown pass, but the defense and running game carried the day.

Running back Pierre Thomas had an IV drip before the game because of the flu, but rushed for 126 yards and two scores in the second half alone.

Cornerback Jabari Greer helped keep T.O. out of the box score, while New Orleans' defensive line hit Trent Edwards 14 times.

Let the Jets-Saints hype begin.

The focus in Buffalo is on Terrell Owens' lack of production, but it's a bad sign that both Owens and Lee Evans haven't hit 100 yards receiving total through three games.

Dick Jauron has still only beaten two teams with winning records in his Buffalo tenure.

The only touchdown Buffalo scored was on a fake punt field goal.

Buffalo's secondary did a laudable job against Drew Brees, but eventually got run over.

Four starters left the game for the Bills, who have suffered a number of significant injuries this year.

Ralph, why do you punish us?
Why do you continue to be unwilling to understand the harm you have done to the western NY region by insulting our intelligence on a weekly manner?
Isn't it about your Legecy, or are you going to live forever?.

Hey Rosenthal, didn't they teach you the difference between a field goal and a punt at Tulane? I guess probably not since we were usually punting.

    The Saints are for real!

A big factor is the hiring of Gregg Williams as DC.

Futher, NO lost most of their games last year by a FG or less.

That combined with the fact that they ended the year with 17 players on IR.

For these reasons, I couldn't see how so many in the national media ("the experts") couldn't recognize that the team was primed for a breakout this year. I suppose that all the "experts" simply look at the record from last year and assume that will occur again. Yeah, fellas, nice job!

Greggggg Williams is a joke. We had that jerk here in Buffalo.
His king sized ego will begin to wear on your defense around week 10. Hopefully, he's changed so the Saints fans will finally enjoy some success.

We all know you had Gregggg Williams in Buffalo. Maybe, just maybe, it was your team that was the problem. He is a d.c., a very good one at that, not a head coach. It would have been pretty easy to see from any decent g.m. that has half a brain. The Saints already are the 10th ranked d in the league. It is still very early in the season, but they will play the Ravens in the superbowl.
