Panthers-Cowboys one-liners

Said Panthers T Jordan Gross, “It stinks. There’s no way to sugarcoat it. We haven’t won in a long time and we’re losing ugly.”

The Panthers gave up 212 yards rushing, which makes 548 yards allowed through three games.

Monday was the first full day on the job for new Panthers president Danny Morrison.

The Panthers offense failed to get a first down for the first 24 minutes of the second half.

LB Jon Beason had 11 tackles to lead the Panthers defense, and added his first sack of the season as well.

Said Cowboys QB Tony Romo, “We didn’t have a
turnover tonight
and in that regard, I feel like we accomplished what
we set out to do. The criticism was meaningless. It
doesn’t matter. It’s all about improving on the football field.”

Cowboys CB Terrence Newman fared much better against Steve Smith of the Panthers than he did against Steve Smith of the Giants.

The Cowboys didn’t seem to miss injured RB Marion Barber thanks to strong games from Tashard Choice and Felix Jones, who left with a sprained knee.

Cowboys K Nick Folk’s streak of 16 consecutive field goals was snapped when he missed a kick at the end of the first Cowboys possession.

Rookie Cowboys LB Victor Butler killed any hopes of a Panthers comeback with two sacks in the final 2:43.

The Cowboys beat a winless team. WOW. I’m a Dallas fan, for sure, but this win means zero. I did like that Garrett ran the ball, but I have to review the stats sometime today. Felix Jones got hurt… again. Linebacker V Butler looks like a man-eating killer of a linebacker. Good job there, bud. Good job T Newman on the int for 6. Toni Romo threw no picks. R Williams dropped a sure 6 in the endzone. He looks like money lost.

Funny thing happened last night, while watching during the TD review, they zoomed in on Jerry and there he was, in his box holding a Play Chart! I thought “no way it must be something else”, but later they showed a closeup of his sock puppet Wade on the sidelines and sure enough, he was holding the same one.
I guess Jerry’s calling the plays from his box.
    What a joke.

Man, those Cowboys RBs are a fragile bunch. And you DCowboy fans talk about McNabb and Westbrook??

Yeah? Ask the Deadskins about the alternative.

Wow, you’ve got some really good eyes. Phillips doesn’t call the offense, dummy.

Yeah. Because it seems like they’ve been getting hurt almost every year for a long time. McNabb’s played just one 16 game season since 2003 and Westbrook’s never had a 16 game season in his entire 8 year career. Sorry, but as durability goes, they both may as well be made of very thin porcelain.

“I guess Jerry’s calling the plays from his box.”
Care to explain how he’s doing that — mental telepathy or something? That and Wade doesn’t make the offensive play calls, Garrett does. Because he has a play chart does not mean he’s calling the plays. If I were an owner, in my box, I wouldn’t mind having a play chart so I could figure out what play was called.
    Vox,

    Vox,
I went from despondent at half time to satisfied at the end of the game. Not sure what was said by whom at the half, but it was night and day.
Funny thing is the 0-3 team we just beat may be better than the 3-0 team we are going to face Sunday. Carolina is a good team, with a good D, they’re just messed up right now.
Jones averaged almost 12yds/carry (and with a deep quad bruise going in – which is why he’s a tad slow – a truly scary thought for once he heals and is 100%, overall he’s averaging over 10/carry the last two seasons. That is phenomenal.

“The Cowboys didn’t seem to miss injured RB Marion Barber ….”
I disagree, would they have tried two consecutive fades on the goal line if Barber was in the game? Felix’s pass blocking is atrocious, they certainly missed Barber in there to help pick up the blitz.

A winless team is a dangerous team. Carolina went out there and played a good game.
I agree with Bill in DC….the Panthers are probably better than the Broncs.

I was responding to two different people, you eeeediot. Is this stuff really that hard for you to figure out? Bet you’re one of those kinds of fools that can’t take a crap and wind your watch at the same time without getting crap all over your watch.
By the Way, Florio… 2 games, 20 punts, nobody’s even come close to hitting the video boards.

Season not over yet, 6 games to go in that overpaid stadium

Jerry calling plays from the box: your ignorant bcuz Wade dont call the plays moron lol. thats Garretts job & i can assure JJ doesn want any part of calling any plays lol.
that does remind of warren sapp saying Al Davis would call down on the field & call in the deep ball lol.
the Panthers were the NFC South champs last year & had a slow start this year but they have played really well the last couple games. they might not make the playoffs but their going to win a lot of games this year.
S.Smith was shut down & our defense stoped the run, RoMo commanded the offense & we WON!
