Chiefs sign Herron, Richardson

The Kansas City Chiefs have announced the acquisition of cornerback Mike Richardson and linebacker David Herron.

Richardson worked out for the Chiefs on Tuesday.

Both players have a connection to Chiefs G.M. Scott Pioli, the former V.P. of player personnel in New England.  Richardson spent ten games in 2008 with the Patriots; Herron spent one week in New England in 2007.

Yesterday, the Chiefs traded quarterback Tyler Thigpen to the Dolphins, signed tight end Leonard Pope, and worked out tackle Mark Tauscher.

Congratulations to David Herron. It’s too bad there just wasn’t room for him on the Vikings. I believe Herron will do well for the Chiefs.

Pioli/Haley was left with a gigantic cowpie from Carl Peterson, give them credit , they are working their asses off to fix to gaping holes in the boat

Ummmm, shouldn’t you make your off-season moves to form your team during the OFF-season??
Wow- I didn’t think so before, but 0-16 is definitely in the realm of possibility for this team.
What a mess. Two wins in the last 28 games….

This thing in KC is going to be very ugly this year. It will be a revolving door for the next 2 years.
Check back on the Chiefs in 2011.
Stinks to be a KC sports fan right now. The Royals are still the Royals, the Chiefs are just a comical to watch. The offensive play calling is like
Abbott and Costello’s routine. No one knows what is going on including Haley, who is obviously in over his head with play calling and head coaching duties.
KC fans are starting to participate in drinking games for every time that Brandon Albert has a holding or false start calls.
