Portis, Haynesworth, Rogers miss practice for 'Skins

As the Redskins prepare for the first of three games against teams that currently are 0-3, they were without three key players at Wednesday's practice.

Running back Clinton Portis (calf), cornerback Carlos Rogers (ankle), and defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth (glute) each sat out today's session.

For the Bucs, defensive end Gaines Adams (groin), center Jeff Faine (triceps), quarterback Byron Leftwich (hip), defensive end Kyle Moore (knee), and running back Derrick Ward (knee) missed practice.  Receiver Antonio Bryant (knee), cornerback Torrie Cox (ankle), running back Earnest Graham (hamstring), and receiver Maurice Stovall (knee) participated on a limited basis.

Defensive tackle Roy Miller (ankle), running back Clifton Smith (quadricep), and running back Carnell Williams (knee) were full participants in practice.

Regardless of who does and doesn't play for the Redskins, a loss to the woeful Bucs will go a long way toward sealing coach Jim Zorn's fate when the bye week starts on October 26.

    13 GAMES REMAINING

Let's not get our panties in a bunch

Lions were the better team Sunday, the Skins played a sloppy game, all in all, if they would of punched it in at the goal line that would of made the difference, the Skins win by 2! I think we'll have a better record than Detroit come week 17. This is the NFL.

    HAIL SKINS!

After losing to Detriot (domestic version of Beirut), Daniel Snyder must be having spasms trying to keep himself from firing the coach. Mr. Instantaneous Gratification figures he threw a pile of money around again only to find out he still can't buy a Superbowl. Fire the coach! LOL

Mr. Zorn...you are now officially a sacrificial lamb in waiting. The cleaver has already been set in motion.

The Washington news sites are already printing up articles that Holcomb will be in DC next year.

I have been disappointed with the production from Portis in the past couple of years. He is entertaining off the field with his comedy routine in the training facility.

    Who the F is holcomb?

Pretty sure he meant Holmgren, not sure how he ended up with Holcomb.

'Skins might be in trouble if they didn't play the Bucs. Campbell looked sharp in the second half. Dunno if it is play calling or what, but they need to find someway to score.

Sure, bring Holmgren in. We all saw how his tenure in Seattle ended.
This crapola organization wreaks of of douchebaggery. As long as Danny Boy owns that team, they will never win. Ever. They could have the Lord Jesus Christ himself on that team, and they would still blow chunks.
If I was a Deadskin fan, I think I would pretty much swallow a bottle of rat poison.

Losing to Detroit isn't that bad. They are better than the bucs. (And right now you have to say better than the Redskins.)

The bucs are god awful. If the Skins lose to them then they may be the worst team in the league. Period.

I believe Monday's Wash Post headline said it best:

    FAIL SKINS!
