Back on the market after a two-week reunion tour in Philly, Jeff Garcia is waiting again for someone to give him another chance to extend his career.
Per a league source, there’s currently nothing new in this regard.
Of course, that can all change — especially after a weekend of games and the unpredictable (yet inevitable) injuries to come.
Raiders coach Tom Cable recently did not rule out the possibility of bringing Garcia back. Other teams that should be considering Garcia as a starter or a backup include, in our view, the Dolphins, the Jaguars, the Titans, the Redskins, the Panthers, the Bucs, the Rams, and the Seahawks.
The Bills would be on the list, too, but we doubt that Garcia would want to reunite with Terrell Owens, despite T.O.’s new approach to loaded questions.

Seattle shouldn’t just consider him, they should get him ASAP.. Garcia is definitely a major improvement over Seneca for a backup when Hasselbeck is hurt, which seems to happen every other week the past couple years.
I think he would bea good band aid for the panther or the skins, this dude deserves more than he got back from the NFL, at least he’s got a Grey Cup under his belt.

I’d say that The Redskinneds are the team that needs him the most. Unless they think that Todd Collins is capable of running Zorn’s O better than he would. But let’s not forget that Garcia is a lil more fllet of foot than Collins is.
Wow how bizarre would it be if Garcia and T.O. were ever playing together again?
Alot of people forget T.O. did have the best season of his career with Garcia as his QB. In his career season by season, he got his most yards (1451, 1412) , his most TDs in a season (16), and his most receptions (100,97,93) all while Garcia was his QB.
Not to say that would happen in Buffalo or anything, it would just be wierd if they ever played together again.
Does anyone know why a quarterback with the record of success that Garcia has is never stays with the same team? He had a good year in Philly as I recall and did a decent job in Tampa. Does he disrupt the locker room? I have not heard him speak on the subject nor have coaches who he played for speak out against him. With the exception of T.O. players seem to be silent regarding his attitude as a team mate. Strange indeed.

I know people are going to hop on me, but the Skins are the last team that needs Garcia. Campbell is not the problem. The people saying the Skins need hi most obviously don’t watch the games. Short of TDs (playcalling sucks)…..Campbell’s stats are great! We need an offensive coord with playcalling abilities over Zorn…..not some old washed-up guy who can’t make the sorry ass Raiders roster!

For being a so-called “rat”, he pulled the hottest wife in the league, so props to his Opie-looking ass. Based on T.O.’s show, maybe he should be calling Garcia for tips with the ladies.

Yeah I know theres no chance but it woul dbe fun though. When they were team mates Twitter didn’t exist, I can’t imagine how it would have been if it did. He was already calling for Garica to be on the front of Madden so the curse could injure him.
i cant believe the Raiders didnt beg him to come back or he might not want to be their, which i dont blame him…
teams like the Rams or Jag could really use him, the Panthers could use him but Jake can still throw everything ok but the deep ball.
if the Redskins cant find a coach that can develope J.Campbell & design plays to his strength then it wont matter who they have at QB. once Campbell is released from the Redskins it wont take long for some team pick him up. he’s got all the tools you need in a QB & theirs no excuse for what the Redskins has done with his talent.
I highly doubt the Dolphins will pick up Garcia unless Henne becomes injured. Garcia made it clear he was out to take the starting QB spot from Russell in Oakland. So I really don’t think Garcia would be really interested in playing mentor to Henne. If anything he probably be hindering Henne’s progress and probably cause separation in the locker room. Maybe him unwilling to accept a back up role is what keeping him from landing a job.
Jason Campbell is not very good but Jamarcus Russell is awful. The Raiders need to call Garcia or any serviceable quarterback ASAP.
