Catch Mike Florio on Notre Dame halftime show

Usually, Mr. Florio does a good job pimping himself.

But since he’s out of commission while getting ready for his major network debut, I’ll do it for him.

The PFT Czar will appear with Jimmy Roberts and Peter King at halftime of the Notre Dame-Washington game, currently airing on NBC.

Notre Dame just took a 9-7 lead with roughly half of the second quarter remaining.  That means Florio should hit the air sometime soon after 5 ET.

And unlike his PFTV spots with Joe Brocato, there are no second takes on NBC.  (So, um, good luck!)

Florio didn’t embarrass himself. I’m disappointed, I was hoping he’d blow a snot bubble.

Florio did fine, but it’s tough for me to take Peter King seriously. Too much fluff, and he gets too close to his subjects, sacrificing objectivity in the process. Of course, in this segment today, he mentioned his freaking hazelnut latte. He’s overrated, much like the Fighting Irish.

Nicely done Mr. Florio, anytime you can be on national tv with Peter King and are comfortable enough to make bets with him is a good thing. Nice jump from the humble beginnings when this website was run on hamster power and a ranting lawyer….
