Some of our readers who have a soft spot for blocks of soft cheeses the size or car batteries have complained about our decision to focus on the supposed foot injury that has limited Vikings quarterback Brett Favre in practice prior to Monday night’s showdown with the Packers.
We’ve mentioned the status of the Vikings players, but we’ve ignored the question of whether and to what extent Green Bay players with black-and-blue areas on their bodies did or didn’t work with their teammates.
Though the full injury report is available on the front page of the site, we’ll make it easier for our friends in Wisconsin who would love to see their favorite team injure more than Favre’s foot.
Cornerback Charles Woodson has a foot injury, too. He didn’t practice Thursday, but he returned Friday, on a limited basis.
Left tackle Chad Clifton hasn’t practiced either day due to a sprained ankle.
The mild surprise on Friday was that defensive lineman B.J. Raji (ankle) and defensive end Johnny Jolly (abdomen) showed up on the report as limited participants in practice. Neither player was on Thursday’s report.
The best news for the Packers? Receiver Greg Jennings fully participated in both days of practice, despite a wrist injury.
The final report will come out today, with the probable/questionable/doubtful labels applied.
