Bucs quarterback Josh Johnson, who was under consideration to play receiver in the days preceding his elevation to quarterback, has led the team to an early touchdown against the Redskins.
Johnson has thrown a touchdown pass to receiver Antonio Bryant.
The score was set up by a sack of Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell, who fumbled the ball. Defensive end Gaines Adams recovered at the Washington 10 yard line.
Two players later, the Buccaneers capitalized.
Per the FOX announcing crew otherwise wondering whose Cheerios they peed in to get this assignment, the touchdown was the first first-quarter points the Bucs scored all year, and the first time they’ve scored first in 12 games.
Wow. Everybody gets back on track against the Skins. The players have quit on Zorn. Nothing left to do except go through the motions for another three quarters then pick up the game check and spend Synder’s money.
The Fox crew, Daryl Johnston and Tim Ryan (I think it is Ryan) have done all 4 Bucs games this season. Moose Johnston has probably forgotten what watching two NFL teams play each other is like.
