Brett Favre, who’s being fueled this evening by vanity and hatred is getting pretty good miles per gallon so far.
In a game that couldn’t get here fast enough if only to spare the nation the sepia-toned Favre retrospectives (I enjoyed them all the first four times I sat through them), Favre has been excellent.
He’s 14 for 17 for 154 yards and two TDs and he’s emoted about how you’d expect him to when things go his way -- demonstrably. Tell you this, the Captain Checkdown version of Favre that was running around for the first two weeks of the season (and not running very quickly) has been left in the dust as Favre’s cardio and quickness is returning.
