Good move by Cleveland. Braylon is in the last year of his contract and I dont think anyone expected him to re-sign here. This way we at least get something rather than seeing him leave as a free agent and get nothing. He has been predominantly non-productive in his career here. Tons of potential, loads of mental issues. Now it’s up to the Jets to get him a long term contract, it would be terrible to give up 2 draft picks and 2 players for a guy you only have for 12 games. And Braylon wants BIG money.

Nothing about Roger Goodell leads me to believe that he will wait until 2010 to suspend Edwards if he is indeed proven to have punched that guy in the face.
The only question is whether the Cleveland court systems hear the case sooner rather than later.

All this proves is that the Jets and the Browns are both train wreck franchises. They are the Oakland Raiders on training wheels.
