Week Five PFT picks are live

Part of the fun of the NFL season is trying to figure out who in the hell will win the games.

Usually, I suck at it.

This year, I’m somehow 28-3 through four weeks.

Last week, Rosenthal and yours truly combined for a 13-1 mark, including an on-the-nose 17-10 prediction of the Broncos-Cowboys score and an off-by-only-a-point 35-17 prediction of the Seahawks-Colts outcome.  (Both of those came not from Rosenthal.)

Amazingly, I’ve managed a 15-0 mark in the last two weeks, which means I’m due to go 0-7 this week.

Actually, I’m 16-0 over the past two weeks, because Rosenthal took the Chargers-Steelers game last week, but I freelanced on that one in a one-on-one latte death match with Peter King.

All PFT picks for Week Five are available right here.

If you rely on them and it works out, we get the credit.  If they don’t, you should have known out hot streak was coming to an end.

Miami over NY, really? Have you seen them play? The Jets defense will shut down the stupid wildcat and passing game and they will be lucky to score 7, not 20.
As for the 14 points your giving the Jets, look for Thomas Jones and Leon Washington to have big games if Edwards ends up playing.

Only 27 points for the Steelers ? lol I think sunday night was just the beginning of how good this offense can play .
Or was SD just that bad ?

“Even worse, Romo is now dealing with the reality that his arguable resemblance to a Marine named Gomer Pyle might go beyond the physical … and extend to the mental.”
I wanna see your SAT scores, Florio.

I’m surprised you missed the opportunity to make a Seinfeld reference here. “Pulling a Costanza” would have been perfect.

wow the Miami over NY pick is almost as bad as the Reskins to the superbowl pick florio..Pick with your head not your heart…

“Pulling a Costanza” would have been perfect.
Right on… Are you only pulling these picks playing “opposite Florio”?
I gotta give you credit, though. You’ve beat me the last two weeks. No way that lasts. I like any pick I have where you take the other side.

Sucks you can’t get that link on an iPhone. It switches to some mobile menu that doesn’t show it

Rex Ryan and his Baltimore D shut down Miami in the playoffs last year. Jets D is playing just as well.
    Only bad pick I see.
Not many interesting games this week, good storylines though.
Bengals – Ravens. Look for Ravens to come out swinging.
New England and Denver is probably game of the week. The mentor will humble the student.
Colts and Titans is probably the game to watch. Titans have looked pretty flat so far, lose here and they will merely be jockeying for draft position.
SF and Atl will be interesting, if not for the coaches in Denver NE this could be game of the week.
Wash and Carolina – loser gets a new coach. Winner might improve chances of lasting a few more weeks.

i love the jets fans overconfidence. the same overconfidence when they were bragging about how favre was going to destroy miami in week 17.
    how’d that work out guys?

How about you actually put your name on your specific picks, Florio? There’s no way to tell whether it was your or Greg who made the pick. Seems like a pretty convenient deal for you to bolster your reputation and the reputation of this site when you can simply tell us AFTER the fact which games you “picked”…

csloan99 – he has said multiple times, he & rosenthal switch between NFC home versus AFC away or something like that.

How about you recruit some of your new NBC it gurus to set you up with a link that works on iPhones. New web host, same clown show!
