Spate of fines for Cowboys this week

Cowboys nose tackle Jay Ratliff got dinged with a $7,500 fine for a roughing the passer penalty last week in Denver.

Ratliff's penalty, along with the $5,000 roughing the passer penalty assessed to Dallas linebacker Anthony Spencer for a facemask on Orton, means $12,500 in fines were levied in protection of Orton. So much for the budding notion that only the "superstar" quarterbacks are protected.

According to Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Dallas players have been docked $47,500 this year. Flozell Adams alone is responsible for $25,000 of that. Happily for Flo, for the first time this year, he made it through a game without a fineable act.

One thing we know about Flozell...... he's not protecting any "superstar" quarterbacks.

I'm not sure, but I don't think the NFL accepts pesos.

The fines will probably keep coming while Wade is at the helm. The 'Boys are not coached properly and are not prepared for games.

Since Camp Cupcake believe in tackling, we can see the results. Guys trying to improvise.

Where were these fines when McNabb was speared? Busted ribs, two missed games? WTF?

Well well well, look who finally decided that he could show his face again. Don't you EVER talk about me disappearing again, boy.

"One thing we know about Flozell...... he's not protecting any "superstar" quarterbacks. "

Yeah anybody who likes a team that has never had one and currently features Jay Cuntler at QB should be able to talk about "superstar" QBs. No, Jim McMahon was not a "superstar".

    "COWBOYS SUCK"

You know how I know you're gay? You like San Francisco. I'll just BET you like to spend a lot of time "down south", 49er.

    @ Bwa ha ha

Clearly the hits on Mcnabb were deemed legal but at this point, who cares? Kolb is your real QB and the Eagles organization better start show the door early to Donovan.

Well coached & yet heavily fined...just doesn't seem fair (dripping with sarcasm).
I hope Jerry has the league looking into this & why his team hasn't won a playoff game in 12 years.

Of course maybe they just choke.

The 'it takes one to know one' ripostes only strengthen the verbal eradication Vox put on. You can't blame the guy --- you opened up like a latina girl's legs to her uncle during a cinco de mayo family gettogether.

I'm new to this site, so I'm curious why everyone here seems to hate Vox Veritas, and if everyone hates him why does he keep coming back?

  20. Dawkphan says: October 10, 2009 4:15 PM

    70's Cowboys,

Welcome to this site, if you are here long enough , and it doesn't take long you will find out why Everyone dislikes Vox !

As to why he keeps coming back i think it is the attention that he didn't get as a child or from any Woman in his life, I don't know , but He probably thinks any attention good or bad is more attention than he ever had before.

    Just sayin!
