It’s lunch time on the East Coast, and those on the West Coast are just showing up for work.
In either location (and all in between), right now is a good time to take a few minutes to check out the Week Five PFT 10-pack at SportingNews.com.
It’s all right here.
And check back for more stuff throughout the afternoon. After all, it’s Friday. What else are you doing? Working?
Hey Florio, you might want to take another picture for the sporting news. You kinda look like a freshman in high school there… glassy eyes, etc. Not trying to be mean or pick on you, just being constructive.
Oh, and I rated it 5 stars, because I dont want to see you get fired. I kinda like the site.
Lord Florio, your post about the Vikings is pure stupidity! You lost what little credibility you had when you picked the ‘Skins to go to the super bowl. You know nothing about football, and Allen knows it!
I didn’t really like this 10-Pack…
First off, while I agree the Vikings shouldn’t take the Rams lightly, I agree that the Hutch should get a rest. We have more than enough quality people who could take his place for one game and get some good experience.
Second, what lesson would that teach Crabtree? Don’t hold out after getting drafted again? That’s not going to happen anymore. The 49ers coach Mike Singletary is not going to put someone on the field that didn’t sign until this week and let him get a possible serious injury, possibly cause his team to lose this week against a good Falcons team, and lose respect amongst the NFL. I think the 49ers will play him on a couple plays, but putting him out their with the intentions of getting him hurt is dumb and I cannot believe you suggested that.
Third, although the Saints are doing good, must-wins don’t start for two weeks. Many teams have started 4-0 and not made the playoffs.
Last, the Chiefs made no statements regarding them making the Playoffs/Superbowl this year. Of course it’s going to take a year or two to get things going. They will go 4-12 this season, 7-9 next season, and 10-6 two seasons from now, with a playoff berth.
I don’t agree with Vikings/St. Louis as a trap game. I mean, it has all the makings of one. Don’t get me wrong. Vikings are 4-0 coming off of a short week. Their last game was a relatively easy victory but the week before was a down to the wire slugfest with the 9ers.
So I can totally see where you are coming from. But St. Louis really is THAT bad. To me a trap game would be like the Vikings versus the Lions. You know, a team that is really bad but still looks NFL-esque at times.
