Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo reportedly suffered a Grade III MCL sprain during a Week One win over the Bills.
Less than four weeks after suffering the injury, Mayo is on track to make his return to action.
Though he’s listed as questionable for Sunday’s game at Denver, Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com reports that safety James Sanders is the only New England player who has been downgraded to “out.”
In addition to Sanders and Mayo, the following Patriots players have been listed as questionable: tackle Nick Kaczur (ankle), cornerback Shawn Springs (knee), receiver Wes Welker (knee), and defensive tackle Vince Wilfork (ankle). Since none have been downgraded to out for the Week Five showdown with the team coached by former Pats offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, all could play.
