Mayo, Welker, Wilfork will play

The Patriots have identified their inactive players for Sunday's showdown with the Broncos.

And, per Christopher L. Gasper of the Boston Globe, linebacker Jerod Mayo's name isn't on the list.

Mayo suffered an MCL sprain on September 14 against the Bills; he hasn't played since.

The inactive players are receiver Joey Galloway, cornerback Terrence Wheatley, running back Fred Taylor, safety James Sanders, offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger, guard Kendall Simmons, defensive lineman Terdell Sands, and defensive lineman Ron Brace.

Receiver Wes Welker (knee) and defensive tackle Vince Wilfork (ankle) are active and will play.

    Boston Globe is old news.

Reiss' column at the four-letter is set up exactly like his Globe column was, so I made the appropriate changes in bookmarks.
