With the offense grounded, Cleveland’s special teams led the way in a 6-3 victory over the Bills, Eric Mangini’s first as Browns coach.
RB Jamal Lewis carried the ball 31 times in his return to the lineup, while Jerome Harrison took a backseat. “He’s got those fresh legs,” said Mangini of Lewis.
QB Derek Anderson only completed 2-of-17 passes in windy conditions for a franchise record low 23 yards, but nine drops from his teammates didn’t help.
