A really bad year in Buffalo has gotten even worse.
On Sunday, they lost at home to the Browns. Yes, the Browns.
On Monday, coach Dick Jauron disclosed that middle linebackers Kawika Mitchell and Marcus Buggs will miss the rest of the season with knee injuries.
Mitchell moved to the middle after Paul Posluszny broke his arm during a Week One loss to the Patriots.
The Bills also played Sunday without starting safeties Donte Whitner and Bryan Scott.
When do they lose their head coach to being fired?
Oh, and they lost to a team whose qb completed 2 passes. But that team wasn’t Oakland.
I wonder if they will still be called the Bills when they are moved to Toronto or LA?
i agree with WNYhell Jauron needs to go
Yeah, I admit. I liked the Bills this year. I think Edwards has plenty of potential. The defense needed some work, for sure. I’ve screwed up my Peter King Challenge by picking the Bills to actually win a couple of times. The firing of the OC was a bad signal. Things are not going to get better. Sorry, Dick (i love it when i can say that to someone’s face), please sign in to the Relax Inn on highway 99.
Maybe T.O. can play MLB?
How can people say they LIKE Trent Edwards?
Guy is in his what? Third or fourth season and has NEVER had a 300-yard game?
Do you realize how hard that is to accomplish (or NOT accomplish)?
Philly’s backup comes in and does that on back-to-back Sundays.
Edwards has “two #1 receivers”… and nothing…
To call their scoring unit an “offense” is offensive.
I feel bad for the Bills and their fans.
They played well in their opener against the Pats but from what I saw of yesterdays game……YUK. Both teams were horrible. Neither team was capable of producing anything but perpetual frustration. Ugly.
I’m a Bills fan and I want the team sold or just dissolved altogether so I can root for another team. Please fire Dick Jauron if just to appease the fans.
i hate trent edwards. i drafted that bum to be a decent 2nd qb for my fantasy team, and he cant even break 200 yards against the frigin browns? bum. i cant believe i wasted a pick on him.
The Bills are in the 2nd smallest market with a top 5 biggest stadium. Should I mention top 5 fans?
The Bills will not go anywhere due to a shitty coach.
BTW I dislike Trent Edwards.
“Maybe T.O. can play MLB?”
I don’t know, are missed tackles anything like dropped passes ? If so he’d be really good at LB…..
“Philly’s backup comes in and does that on back-to-back Sundays.”
To be fair Kolb was apparently drafted to be McNabb’s eventual replacement.
So, the most pertinent question is: “Who is the likely number one over all draft pick in 2010?”
By the sound of things the Bills have an inside track to get it, but there is tough competition from St. Louis while KC, and Tampa seem to be doing their best to remain in the running. Notice that Oakland & Detroit aren’t mentioned, after all, they actually won a game which is more than some of these “teams” are going to do.
I feel bad for Bills fans too. They actually looked fairly tough the first couple of games but dont seem to have much depth. They keep losing players and it is just going to get worse for them. It isn’t that Jauron is all that bad, just that he doesnt have many players. I’d still rather be in Buffalo than Cleveland. Mangini just plain sucks.
Oakland is the worst team in the NFL, St. Louis is a close second, followed by KC, and then Detroit.
Tampa will do better when Josh Johnson begins to settle more. Don’t be shocked if there is a QB battle between Johnson/Freeman next year.
Oakland needs to clean house…
KC traded their best QB to Miami…
Detroit will do alright, Culpepper gives them the best shot now…
St. Louis may win 1 or 2 more this season…
The funny thing is, the Titans are 0-5 but would still probably crush all of these teams…
Im a Bills fan so let me get this off my chest…
The Bills lose several starters on D and they are still playing better than the O.
Their offense is horrible, in spite of having 2 top WRs, 2 solid RBs, and a decent QB.
I blame Juron. Period.
The O-Line sucks, but they had to expect that after letting 4 of 5 last years starters go and replacing them with rookies and no-name backups from a season ago. Juron’s fault.
I would blame the poor offense on the Offensive Co., but they fired him right before the season, and his replacement isnt getting it done. Again Juron’s fault.
Bills KILLED themselves with penalties. Thats also Juron’s fault (stupid penalties like that are always the coaches fault).
The Rams, Oakland, Detroit, and Bucs are all bad, but they just dont have the players. The bills have the players, but are just as bad. Thats the coaches fault.
The bills wont have the 1st pick in the next draft, but it will be in the top 10… again…
The only reason I would argue agenst firing the HC is that its very rare for a team to do anything after they fire thier HC. Through the DC and Spectial Teams Coach would be the only 2 possible choices to chose from.
PFTiswhatitis —- amen brother/sister (covering my bases so i don’t offend you) mangini is a total waste, i really can’t stand him
two completions???? how can that be possible, you can complete more by accident ….. whatever
poor Tim Russert god rest his soul, he loved the bills, he must be rolling over in his grave
phred
Oakland is overall the worst team….however, the Browns, Bills, Panthers, Bucs, Rams are aweful!!!
The Bills are down 3 LBs and 2 Safeties, and all the Browns could do was score 6 points? That’s pretty pitiful too.
Have been a bills fan all my life. And i have seen all the problems possible. They got rid of the whole offensive line when it was actually getting better and drafted the new Reuben Brown (Demetrius Bell). First offensive play against the browns false start by bell. No qb can be productive without an offensive line to give them at least three second in the pocket but i think Edwards needs about five in that pocket. And the reason for all those offensive penalties, NO DISCIPLINE. Dick doesn’t show any power. If for example Mike Singletary or how about offering Bill Cower Cowher or Tony Dungy a come out of retirement contract to try to take a dynasty that needs help to the top of the division or at least a wild card for a playoff berth. At least that would put confidence in me that the coach might be able to MOTIVATE the team to play better and together. Right now there is NO role model in that bills locker room. How about T.O. wake it up T.O. Open your big mouth like you have been known to do and be the role model on the team seeing the coach cant do anything. it wouldnt matter if they change the coach now because the division is either going to jets or pats and i say jets. The looser gets wild card possibly. So unfortunately like hockey,Baseball, or basketball you cant fire the coach after 1-4 and get the playoffs. Have to stick with him to the end. And instead of trying to get wins this season if we get a new coach in the next few games it wont be worth it because we will still fall short of playoffs so invest in experienced offensive line and trade every other pick except first for that and we will be high enough in the pick chart to get either Tim Tebow, colt McCoy or Sam Bradford. Who i think they should trade for to get on offense: D’ Brickashaw Ferguson(Jets),Marcus McNeil(Chargers), And Chris Snee(Giants) With that help the bills should be fine offensively. defense if they stay healthy and pick up someone in free agency then their problems should be over. And that is how I see it.
