The two men who reportedly were nearly traded for each other in the offseason have started Monday night’s game with a touchdown each.
On the Dolphins’ opening drive, running back Ronnie Brown contributed with six carries, a pass reception, and a pass thrown from Wildcat formation. He capped the 12-play, 80-yard drive with a one-yard plunge.
The Jets then moved right down the filed, fueled by a 26-yard run by punter Steve Weatherford on a fake that appeared to be impromptu.
Several plays later, quarterback Mark Sanchez found the newest Jet, Braylon Edwards, in the end zone for a score.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported earlier tonight that the Browns and the Dolphins discussed a swap of Edwards and Brown earlier this year. Last week, Cleveland traded Edwards to the Jets.
The Dolphins currently lead, 10-7.

Florio, how is your wig looking today? Don’t forget to wash out the hair gel once in a while so it doesn’t get too nasty.
Dear Braylon,
Go @#%@#$%#@ yourself.
Phil
@NFLJunkie- LMAO! that sounds like a non-sequator(sp?) I’d say! good job
f braylon. he cant do anything but drop passes in cleveland and all he can do in NY is make great catches. what a douche
He always plays good in Monday night games. Why is anyone surprised? He did drop that TD pass, but got the bailout phantom interference call.
Jets with Edwards = 0-1
Browns without Edwards = 1-0.
Just sayin’
Browns record without Braylon….1-0….Jets record with Braylon….0-1.
Total bs this was last springs news
Wasn’t that great to see the look on Braylon’s face after the loss? I hope he is to the Jets what that Tiki Idol was to the Brady Bunch.
that wasn’t a TD catch by Edwards. two left feet down, no right foot. watch the replay.
they got off the extra point before sparano had a chance to challenge. and that play on was on 3rd down, so it would have been a FG otherwise.
