Colts-Titans one-liners

Colts QB Peyton Manning had a streak of 16 straight completions at one point in a 31-9 victory that also saw him deliver three touchdown passes.

Two of the touchdowns went to rookie WR Austin Collie, who finished with eight catches for 97 yards.

The Colts defense limited Titans RB Chris Johnson to 34 yards on nine carries.

Said Colts LB Clint Session, “We made them one dimensional, like we did the teams before. It’s working out pretty good right now.”

The Titans had a chance to draw within a point during the second quarter, but Colts CB Jacob Lacey knocked a ball away from WR Justin Gage in the end zone.

Titans coach Jeff Fisher said that turning to QB Vince Young in the fourth quarter was because of the situation and not a permanent move.

Titans DE Jacob Ford didn’t agree with a roughing-the-passer penalty he picked up late in the second quarter.

A Titans secondary weakened by injuries was easy pickings for Manning.

Said Titans G Jake Scott, “We’re not winning. We’re not making the plays. We’re not converting
third downs. There’s a fine line in this league between being really
good and really bad
, and right now we’re walking the wrong side of it.”
