Two runs by RB Chris Brown fell short of the goal line and the Texans comeback fell short as well in a 28-21 loss.
The comeback from a 21-0 hole was spurred by the Texans defense which allowed only 43 second-half yards after giving up 297 in the first 30 minutes.
Texans QB Matt Schaub set career highs with 50 attempts and 35 completions en route to racking up 371 yards and two touchdowns.
Said Texans WR Andre Johnson, “It’s very difficult. You give everything you’ve got when you’re out
there on the field and to come up short the way we did, it leaves a bad
taste in your mouth. But at the same time, we didn’t do anything in the
first half of the game. We battled back, but maybe if we would’ve
scored some points in the first half, it would be a different outcome.”
Texans DE Antonio Smith was disappointed by the outcome in his return to Arizona.
Cardinals CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie’s 49-yard interception return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter bailed out the sputtering Cardinals offense and helped salvage a win for the home team.
Cardinals DE Calais Campbell was a special teams hero with a blocked field goal and a touchdown saving tackle on a long punt return by Texans WR Jacoby Jones.
Cardinals QB Kurt Warner became the second quarterback in NFL history to throw for more than 13,000 yards with two different teams.
The Cardinals only ran the ball four times in the second half even though they were up 21 points at halftime.
Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin led the team with seven catches and 81 yards, but also fumbled a ball on a hit by Texans S Eugene Wilson.

Kubiak has a death wish! He keeps putting this useless Chris Brown who averages 2.7 yards per carry(but prob. zero avg inside the 5) in to cost him games at the 1 yard line. This bum cost them the Jax game fumbling trying to get into the endzone. Texans have a runner who can get to a hole.
How is Kubiak still employed?
